I need to remove a mirror off my 1970's prototype. tricolor C14 telescope. I am getting it recoated and I am stuck at the part of removing the mirror off the mirror mount. I have removed it from the optical tube assemble before with no issues it's just getting it off the housing that I am stuck at. Any help would be great. I need to have the mirror fully off to get it recoated. I couldn't find anything online.

I think you have been advised by our past-masters in the Classics forum that this is a difficult process and possibly will cause more problems than it solves.

If you do not understand exactly what is involved, you are not going to magically drum up understanding this way. There are people in the Classics forums who know these scopes like their own hands. You should listen to them!

That's actually the conclusion I came to as well, the mirror is in no way in poor shape, the secondary yes that needs some work but even that doesn't affect the image. I'm currently looking for someone who knows how to remove and reinstall the sct mirror in my local community but I doubt I will find someone. If it ain't broke dont fix it. Especially with this scope. I'm just gonna save that for 10 years down the line for when it goes for a full restoration.

Just be careful removing the corrector. They can be somewhat stuck and if they let go all of a sudden as you pull on the secondary housing, they can get whacked on the housing and chipped.
