Fraudulent invoices emailed to Carson City customers

The Carson City Community Development Department is advising that someone is sending falsified invoices to customers and requesting that the funds be wired to a bank account. The invoices are sent by email, and the sender impersonates a member of the City’s staff.

Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1966. Since that time the Friends of the Carson City Library has donated its substantial support to many library projects and much needed acquisitions.
